Outdoor micro-/mesocosm studies
As for higher tier studies in aquatic ecotoxicology we have possibilities to perform outdoor micro-/mesocosm studies.
In cooperation with the Polish Academy of Sciences we have access to required infrastructure (24 natural ponds with size up to about 300 m3) as well as scientific expertise (quantitative and qualitative assessments of phytoplankton, benthos, zooplankton etc.).
We also cooperate with Department of Biology, Silesian University. Each micro-/mesocosm study is designed to test a specific hypothesis using information gained in previous steps of risk assessment. We can assist you to design the study to reach this goal.
